For The Music Lovers

Being 20 is definitely a curse when you want to see some big bands for free at SXSW.  It seems like, this year, all the free shows are 21+.  Don't they know that I only have a few more months to the wonderful age.  Why must you discriminate?!  I just want to listen to some good tunes!  Well anyways, I was in Austin Tuesday afternoon and I don't know if it was just because it was a Tuesday or I was going to the wrong places, but it seemed like no one was dressed to impress.  Not even me!

Moving on, I saw a couple bands (literally).  My first stop was Red River Noise where I saw The Harms.  A band from the beautiful Austin, TX.  This three girl one guy band describe their music as "femme fatale siren songs inspired by all the music goddesses and gods that have come before us."

On my way back into downtown Austin I saw these guys.  I mean people already think we ride around on horses so let's make sure the whole world knows its a fact.

After getting back to downtown ATX and not being able to get into ANYTHING, I finally went to the Mohawk.  My most favorite venue in Austin well because the dudes at the Mohawk are just cool and they have a bear inside.  Enough said.  At the Mohawk, I saw Natural Child.  I fell in love with this rock n' roll trio from Nashville, TN almost immediately!

I look forward to being back in Austin on Saturday and Sunday.  I have some exciting things happening this weekend and I look forward to sharing with you!

Till next time.
